The Sepia Coffee Project (SCP) takes pride in sourcing the highest quality specialty Arabica coffees from our partners throughout Africa, the Americas and the Indian-Pacific regions. Collectively, members of SCP have over 25 years of experience in the coffee sector spanning from North America to East Asia. From the ground, we have built working relationships with coffee producers, cooperatives and exporters improving the transparency of our supply chain. In the marketplace, we have spent years working in sales while advancing our skills behind the scenes in roasting and sensory analysis.
Established in Detroit, we look forward to introducing specialty coffee to underserved markets throughout the metropolitan area. Paying homage to Detroit's Black Bottom and Paradise Valley, once the center for Detroit's African-American community; our coffee collections are inspired by the streets, landmarks and prominent residents who once called this enclave home.
COLLECTION IN FOCUS
When planning our Fall|Winter 21 coffee collection, it was important to highlight producers who have made tremendous strides to bring quality coffees to the specialty market. Our partners at Kalico(Burundi) have produced a super sweet Red Bourbon microlot with flavors reminiscent of stone fruits(peach), toffee and milk chocolate. Members at Kanyon Mountain Estate(Ethiopia) consistently bring fruity naturals perfect for both filter and espresso. And we are proud to have two microlots from the Peixoto Family(Brazil), a small fazenda owned and operated by Black Brazilians in Minas Gerais.
We'll detail the accomplishments of our producers and suppliers throughout the season. Until then, please support our platform by adding our coffee collections to your daily/weekly routine!
