Miriam Moneiro de Aguiar is a fifth generation coffee farmer and first woman in the family to manage the estate.  She's the founder of the sub chapter of the International Women's Coffee Alliance(IWCA) and is committed to enhancing opportunities for Black Brazilian coffee farmers. With a degree in Sociology and a masters in Rural & Social Development, her skills have helped to increase inclusivity, opening the door for greater opportunities and increased wealth amongst local farmers.

Fazenda Cachoeira produces over 2000 bags of mainstream(80+) coffee along with 300 bags that are certified organic.  We are happy to feature Miriam's Paraiso in our current lineup and look forward to having it as a regular offering each harvest season.
